- A Report to the Nation - it was a function held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi where the then Prime Minister, Mr. Rajiv Gandhi was the Chief Guest, and the status of C-DOT activities and accomplishments was presented to him. This was called 'A Report to the Nation'. A document with this name was also published. C-DOTians from Bangalore had travelled in a special train to be a part of this historic event.
- PDD - This was another document that was published. PDD was the acronym for Process Design Document - no one wanted to make these, it had the detailed design as well as psuedo code - everyone wanted to just jump to coding! Such was the impact of PDDs on everyone, that we decided to make another one, but with some difference. PDD meant 'Personal Details Divulged'. It was an album which had pictures of everyone who had joined C-DOT in the first 36 months, and it had a write-up about them which as written by one of the employees.
Well, PDD is available on the web now, and it will be like going down the memory lane. Many of the then C-DOTians have lost their copy (everyone got a copy). And the ones who joined later may not have seen it.
Just go ahead...check it out on http://www.cdotpdd.com/. For best results use Internet Explorer.
Enjoy......
Aadesh (1985 to 1992) & Vandna (1985 to 1988)
PS: As we all enjoy, let us thank two people who made this possible - Sanjeev Srivastava and Mohan Bhat, both volunteers of Art of Living.
Great job.
ReplyDeletethanks to Aadesh, Vandana Sanjeev and Mohan.
Cannot help point out , though, that Ashok Kumar S' page contains data related to Aashish Saigal and Aashish Saigal's contains a repeat of the person above him in the list.
This does NOT in anyway reduce the pleasure of perusing the PDD , though !!
Thanks Vasudevan!! We have rectified the links.
ReplyDeletegood work and nice to see lot of information

ReplyDeleteOne thought if we could add our current picture and write comments on then & now...

Impressed with the original PDD and more impressed with the digitization effort. Pictures, Words captured a quarter century ago brought back fond memories.
ReplyDeleteI had a grin on my face from page one to the last.
Thank you all for making my day.

Excellent work. Thanks to AOL volunteers Sanjeev Srivastava and Mohan Bhat for this digital copy. And to Aadesh, Vandana & others for the hard copy.
ReplyDeleteMurali.
Great job. I read through the description about many colleagues (S/Sh Meemamsi,Pitke,Lal, Venkat,Dixit Anurag,Matange,PKG,...),again. It was so accurate that a homeopath can prescribe constitutional medicine reading it. And also none of them have changed a bit. Compliments once again.
ReplyDeleteHow to change the picture in the NOW profile?
ReplyDeleteTeam - this is an amazing piece of work - Congratulations. Brings back vivid memories and actually is quite energizing - Saugat
ReplyDeletePlease send your Name and picture at info@cdotpdd.com. We will update your information.
ReplyDeleteNice job !
ReplyDeleteMy daughter has hit this link when she googled me and asked me: Were you working for in c-dot ? you look like a kid.
It is amazing to remember you all after 14 years of leaving c-dot.
Awesome work,
ReplyDeleteDon't think any of the C-Dotians would remember me anymore. I am Mamta (Sharma) Bhattacharya who was the secretary to Mr. Vijay Dabas in the year 1987.
Very grateful to all those who are bringing this to us, I have a small technical issue though.
The profile I created for myself has somehow landed under Man Namrit Kaur's (Dolly) description. How do I sort this?
Huggles,
Mamta
A work of art and words. Terrific.
ReplyDeleteYou have a KN Srinath on your list. He is one of the biggest cheats and thieves that can be there in Bangalore. He is a pest and a Brahmin who eats meat and his ugly family does the same. He has corrupted people, stol;en from C Dot in huge amounts/qty., and he has blackmailed all the people around him including officers and others.
ReplyDeleteI came across this and it is awesome to see all the faces in PDD. I was in c-dot up to 1988 and left for my Masters to US.
